We have been happily married for many years and tackle (almost) everything together.

In 2004, we turned our shared passion for diving into our profession. Since then, many guests of Stolli’s Dive Center in Tamariu on the Costa Brava (Spain) have known us in various roles: first as trainees, then as partners, and eventually for many years as managers and owners of the dive center.

We have now handed the dive center over to our former team members Anja and Stefan, but we continue to support them wholeheartedly with advice and hands‑on help whenever needed.

stands for Maria and, above all, her underwater photography.
She has been taking photographs using various camera systems ever since she first started diving.
She has been using her current system – a Canon EOS 550D in a UK-GERMANY housing – since 2010.

Publications in various diving magazines and first prizes in the FotoVideoSub photography competition in 2022 and 2025 speak for themselves!

She is happy to share her knowledge in one-to-one photography courses or sell images for publication.

Mediterranean

This is where we grew up as divers – it’s the region we know best.
Accordingly, the majority of our photos and videos come from the Costa Brava.

Travel

On this page, we collect our personal travel photos, videos, and impressions.
From the early days of digital photography to the present – there’s quite a lot already, but it’s far from complete and probably never will be.

Land

Even outside of holidays, there are always interesting subjects to capture – whether in our home region of Upper Austria, our adopted home of Tamariu, or anywhere in between.

Biology

A photo archive this extensive, all from a relatively small area, practically begs for an identification section. So far, we have documented and catalogued nearly 500 Mediterranean species.

But a word of caution: we are not biologists. We identify everything to the best of our knowledge and ability, but mistakes are only human. We appreciate feedback on species we couldn’t identify – or corrections where we got things wrong.
